Freeing the Natural Voice with Françoise Walot

A 4-day workshop for actors and voice specialists with or without experience in the Linklater approach. The emphasis in the work will be on the removal of the physical and psychological blocks that inhibit the human vocal instrument, striving for a voice in direct contact with the emotional impulse. Françoise Walot will work on awareness of the body, breathing and resonance and at the same time explore new exercises coming from the revised version of Linklater's book Freeing the Natural Voice - Imagery and Art in the Partice of Voice and Language. Also improvisation plays a role in this workshop and participants must be ready to use their imagination in an unconventional way! Please memorise in advance a text up to 15 lines (monologue, poem or a text you love, classical or not)!
Françoise Walot is an actor, director and designated Linklater voice trainer. She gave workshops in Portugal, England, Ireland, Belgium and France and toured for several years with her company 'Le Café!' through Europe.
